KID'S GAMES

Well, it is getting close to that time of year again where we have begun to come up with some activities for the kids to do while at the Fur Takers convention in Missouri. Alexis Rose and I have been compiling a list of activities in hopes that the younger folks will enjoy. That includes everyone from age 0-99.

A few of the activities that will be going on all weekend will be the Dunk Tank. I don’t know how many of you have been to a convention where this was set up, but I will have to tell you that it is really fun to watch. Hopefully they can get a few "celebrities" to volunteer to be in the tank and the rest of us can try to dunk them. The famous Ball Toss will also be set up as well as the Paint Ball Gun game. These games will be won by either tossing a ball or shooting at a trap to get it to fire and if that happens, you win a trap. The trap setting contest will also happen along with the Barefoot Bear setting contest. So make sure you all take these next few months to practice for those.

Just to give you a sneak peek, a few of the games that Alexis and I have come up with will include a Scavenger Hunt, Coon Toss, Marshmallow Gun, Identification (you will have to ID different items), Straw Hunt and others.

If there are plenty of smaller kids (age four and under) to participate, we have something planned for you as well. These games will run Friday and Saturday only. At the end of the games, we plan to have an ice cream party for all those kids who had participated during the games, so we hope to see a large turnout.

Alexis and I are asking for donations for prizes for these games, so anyone wanting to donate, please get a hold of one of us. Anything would be appreciated greatly. Alexis Rose can be reached at timskaddy@comcast.net, home phone is 812-342-9446. I, Amy Crum, can be reached at mrs_alc@yahoo.com , home phone 765-245-2837, cell # 765-562-2744. Anyone wanting to donate, but not sure you can make it to the convention,  you can mail items to me at PO BOX 45, Hillsdale, IN 47854.

Thank you to those that I have already contacted about donations and thank you in advance for those who are planning on donating.
